The Graford Independent School District Board of Trustees continued to move forward with a proposal for a bond election in November.
July 25, the board met with Glenda Ramsey, with Harper Perkins Architects, to discuss possible construction options.
Ramsey presented two options, one costing an estimated $9.1 million, the other, $8.1 million.
What the board decided was a modification in the lower cost.
A proposed elementary gym was taken out of the plans, a larger kitchen area was added with the final estimated cost being $7.3 to $7.5 million.
"I'm proud of the board for taking the time to decide what is best for the students and the community," said GISD Superintendent Dennis Holt. "I was pleased with the discussion."
