Personnel from Possum Kingdom Water Supply Corp. worked until about 1:30 a.m. Friday to repair a leak along Park Road 36 near Forum Circle. Officials with PKWSC said there was hairline crack in a 10-inch line that was caught in time to prevent significant water losses. Residents in the area of Forum Circle suffered through the evening without water but other parts of the system were not affected as workers were able to shut valves and isolate the leak. With the Labor Day weekend, PKWSC urged all customers to reduce water use as a precautionary measure. In particular, it was asked that outdoor watering be curtailed over the holiday. Possum Kingdom Lake is currently under a Stage 1 drought restriction which calls for voluntary reduction of water use.
