The 52nd annual Graford Fair and Livestock Show will be held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8-9, at the Graford Independent School District show barn. From 3:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, fair entries will be accepted at the Graford High School Ag Science building. Exhibits will be open to the public 9 a.m.-3 p.m. the following day and awards will be presented at 11 a.m. Saturday. Fair categories include photography, quilts, baked goods, canned goods, clothing, arts and crafts, and farm and ranch tack/shop. A special kiddie craft division is open to all children, second grade or younger, to enter anything they created. The barn opens Saturday at 6:30 a.m. and the judging begins at 7. The rabbit show is first, followed by the horse show at about 9:30 a.m. Awards for fair entries start at 11 a.m. and the baked goods auction is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. till 1 p.m. There will be cookies, cakes, candies, quick bread, yeast breads, pies and decorated cakes. Sheep, goat and swine shows follow the sale and the heifer and steer show will conclude the day from 5-6 p.m. Concessions are available all day. There will be door prizes and two raffles that will benefit the Graford 4-H and FFA Livestock Fund. Items being raffled are a $1,500 cashiers check for a $5 donation and a 650-pound cross-bred heifer for a 50 cent donation.
