Officials said there were no reports of damage or injuries. There was a 2.8 magnitude eartquake reported about 14 miles south-southwest of Jacksboro as well. That was recorded at 2:41 a.m. Thursday. These two are the latest in a series of earthquakes that have occurred in the North Texas area and the closest to Possum Kingdom Lake. The series began near Azle and Springtown where a number of earthquakes have been reported. The one reported north of Mineral Wells has been the strongest. Brazos River Authority officials have also reported that any tremors within 50 miles of Possum Kingdom Lake require a dam inspection.
