The National Weather Service reported elevated fire weather conditions are expected this afternoon due to gusty south winds and above-normal temperatures in advance of a cold front. The highest threat will be west of Interstate 35W where conditions are driest. A wind advisory is in effect for areas generally along and west of a line from Bonham to Hearne from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wind speeds will become sustained near 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph. Fire weather conditions will remain elevated during the afternoon hours Monday and Tuesday due to low relative humidities and breezy north winds.
