An accident on Interstate 20 the morning of July 3 claimed the life of Brandon Clark, 26, of Fort Worth.
Texas Department of Public Safety Information Officer Gary Rozzell said Clark was traveling westbound on I-20 at the 376 mile marker when his vehicle ran under a semi trailer.
“Both vehicles were westbound in the outside lane,” Rozzell explained. “Clark’s vehicle ran up under the trailer.”
That trailer was a 53-foot box trailer owned by Penski. The driver, Domonica Douglas, 38, of Dallas was not injured, the report noted.
“Clark was killed on impact,” Rozzell said. “There was no braking action by Clark.”
He added that troopers investigating the accident looked for a cell phone to determine if distracted driving was a possible explanation. None was found.
Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Todd Baker pronounced Clark dead at 10:35 a.m.
