The Possum Kingdom East Volunteer Fire Department and EMS Auxiliary will hold a one-day Christmas in July sale 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at the auxiliary’s new location, 142 La Villa Road, on the lake’s East Side.
A number of new items have been received by the auxiliary, including an outdoor furniture set.
“It’s Amish built in Grandview,” said Kathy Hardin. “It’s the furniture Lumpy used to carry.”
As always, there will be a large selection of treasures, furniture and sporting goods at bargain prices.
A small bag full of clothes can be purchased for $1 and there are jewelry grab bags for $1.
Thirteen-gallon grab bags of clothes will cost just $3.
“These are summer clothes, pre-packed with no specific size or gender,” Hardin said, adding that they are adult clothes.
“We have a very nice dining room table with six chairs and two leaves,” Hardin continued. “We also have two large-screen TVs, a washer and dryer and refrigerator,” she added.
In addition, there will be a four-person paddle boat with a canopy, treadmill, exercise equipment, three telescopes and more.
“No sales will be made before 9 a.m. Saturday,” Hardin emphasized.
Following that, the Possum Kingdom East Volunteer Fire Department will hold a fish fry 4-8 p.m. at the station, 358 N. FM 2353.
The menu offers fish, french fries, tea, desserts and more for a donation to the department.
This annual fund-raiser helps the department with the purchase of equipment and supplies to help keep PK and surrounding areas safe.
Also Saturday, Carter BloodCare will hold a blood drive 2-8 p.m. at the fire station.
