The Strawn Chamber of Commerce hopes to showcase its city with the "Bash on the Bricks" festival Saturday, April 27.
This inaugural celebration will coincide with the Palo Pinto County Historical Tour, which features Strawn locations as four of the eight stops on the tour.
According to Strawn chamber chairman Jeff Hinkson, members of the newly formed chamber selected this weekend to coincide with the tour because of the number of people it draws to the area.
"In anticipation of the new state park and with the formation of the chamber, we wanted to try something new in Strawn," said Hinkson. "We have had a lot of momentum and plans for the event have just grown and grown following the success of our Christmas event."
Over 30 vendors will take part in the Arts & Crafts Fair at the City Pavilion, located next to the Strawn City Hall. Hours for the arts and crafts fair are 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
The event will also offer a $5 lunch of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hotdogs and wraps 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Live music will begin at 11 a.m. in the courthouse lawn.
