The annual Septemberfest has added something new this year - the first annual BBQ Cook-off. The cook-off, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Sept. 20-21, in downtown Graford, is in addition to the annual Jackrabbit 5K run. The divisions for the cook-off, each with a $15 entry fee, are beans, Dutch-oven dessert, half chicken, pork ribs, pork butt and brisket. Check in will be 1-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, and 6:30 a.m.-8 a.m. Saturday. A cooks meeting will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday. Trophies will be awarded for the top three men and women finishers, medals and ribbons will be awarded to division winners and T-shirts will be given to the first 100 entries.
