Last month, Graford Elementary implemented a new program geared toward providing increased male influence for students.
The WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is designed for fathers of students to become more active in their child's daily school structure; in turn, allowing their child's peers an opportunity to be around a positive male influence as well.
As WATCH D.O.G.S. members, fathers must first pass a background check before volunteering. For a fee, T-shirts and/or hats are provided as their uniform attire.
According to Principal Wes Corzine, duties of members are to provide increased safety and security for the school, to encourage students and assist school personnel as needed.
