The Graford homecoming will be held next week. Homecoming queen nominees this year are Katie Rochelle, senior; Brittney Cook, junior; sophomore Chelsea Rife; and freshman Trinity LaRue. In keeping with the week that welcomes back former students, the school has special theme days for Spirit Week. Monday will be Disney Day; Tuesday, Super Hero Day; Wednesday, Hawaiian Day; Thursday, Nerd Day; and Friday, School Colors, Black and White Day. Events will kick off at 7 p.m. Thursday with a community pep rally at the high school followed by a bonfire at the home of Lonnie and Renona Dixon, located west of The Cafe along Highway 254 in Graford. On-site registration begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday with the homecoming basketball games following at 6:30. Coming Home King and Queen voting ends at 7. Crowning of the 2014 homecoming queen and coming home kings and Queens will be during halftime of the varsity boys game. Line up for the parade will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, in front of the school. The parade begins at 11. The theme for this year's parade is "The Great Outdoors."
