Ground-breaking for the Community Church of PK Lake was held Sunday.
The Rev. Terry Reynolds, church pastor, led the gathered congregation in prayer and invited anyone who wanted an opportunity to participate.
The projected completion date will be dependent on the weather, Reynolds said.
An "Out of the Ashes" fund has been established to help rebuild the church in its original location.
"We're about $100,000 short of what we need," Reynolds said.
Anyone wanting to donate can contact Reynolds at 817-480-5313, mail a donation to Community Church of PK Lake "Out of the Ashes Fund," 251 N. FM 2353, Graford, TX 76449; stop by that location; or drop a donation in the collection plate.
Services are being held at 11 a.m. Sundays at Charlie's Angels Senior Center.
The church building was destroyed by fire July 23. Reynolds said it was an electrical short in a water fountain that started the fire.
