A structure fire Saturday afternoon left a double-side trailer at Hideaway Cabins destroyed. The Possum Kingdom East Volunteer Fire Department received the call just after mid-afternoon that there was a structure fire at the business on FM 2951. "It is undetermined what started the fire at this time," Palo Pinto County Fire Marshal Buddy Harwell said. "It is under investigation." Units arrived to find smoking coming from the attic and other parts of the structure. Graford VFD was also called for mutual aid. Traffic was stopped for a time as firefighters used a pump at the lake to provide additional water. The double-wide trailer that had been upgraded with siding and a porch could house as many as 13 people but was unoccupied at the time of the fire, people on the scene reported.. While the outside of the structure remained mostly intact, the inside received severe smoke and water damage, Harwell said.
