Arte de los Brazos Art Show and Sale continues through Saturday, May 3, at the Possum Kingdom Chamber of Commerce, 362 N. FM 2353.
The show hours will be 2-4 p.m. today, Friday, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.

Saturday, May 3
Cruise and Car Show
The 2014 Possum Cruise and Car Show will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Possum Kingdom Chamber of Commerce, 362 N. FM 2353.
“The best car show by a dam site” will feature a cruise, shop tour, lunch, music, a car show and awards for vehicles from 1973 and earlier; including cars, trucks and bikes.
The cruise begins at 9 a.m. at Wanda’s Restaurant in Weatherford, with lunch at 11 a.m. at Mary’s Cafe in Strawn.
At 1 p.m., the car show will be at the PK Chamber of Commerce; the $20 entry fee is paid at the car show site.

St. Peter’s Luncheon
St. Peter’s by the Lake Episcopal Church will hold its annual luncheon 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at the church, located at the intersection of Park Road 36 and Red Bird on the East Side of Possum Kingdom Lake.
The luncheon will include salad, a potato bar with all the fixin’s, dessert, tea, coffee and water.
Tickets can be purchased at the door, from lake area banks or the Possum Kingdom Chamber of Commerce.
Graford Fish Fry
Graford Lions Club Fish Fry will be held Saturday May 3, at the Lions Club Community Center on Main in Graford.
Fish will be served 5-8 p.m. and Just Country Band will perform.
Annual Fajita Feed
The Mineral Wells Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Fajita Feed fundraiser 3-7 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at the Livestock Expo Building in Mineral Wells.
Tickets are $10 and can purchase from any Mineral Wells volunteer firefighter or at the door.
Keep Mineral Wells Beautiful and Palo Pinto County will hold the annual spring clean-up 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 3.
County residents can take items to their respective county barns, Mineral Wells residents can go to the convenience station at 2700 Highway 281 South.
Tires with rims, motors and batteries can be taken to J&S Salvage, 3202 MH 379, where there will also be free shredding.

Monday, May 5
AMVETS will host Honor Flight™ personnel at 7 p.m. Monday, May 5, at the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce to register any World War II or Korean War veteran for a weekend in Washington, D.C. to visit war memorials.

Mineral Wells Pro Rodeo
The 77th annual Palo Pinto County Livestock Association Rodeo will be held Wednesday through Saturday, May 7-10.
Slack begins at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, and is free to the public. Thursday will begin with a trail rides at the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse in Weatherford and end in Mineral Wells just in time for the Rodeo Parade that will begin at 5 p.m.
The rodeo will begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday thru Saturday.
Saturday night the rodeo will be followed by a dance featuring Kinneth Doyle and the Texas Dancehall Band. The dance begins at 9:30 p.m. at the Expo center, located near the arena.
Rodeo tickets can be purchased in advance from any rodeo queen or princess candidate, or the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce at 511 E. Hubbard.
Saturday, May 10
Saturday begins with the “Let ’er Buck Rodeo Run” 5K that will start at 8:30 a.m. at Mineral Wells Anytime Fitness.

The Pickwick-McAdams Cemetery Association annual meeting will kick off with a luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at the cemetery tabernacle.
The business meeting will begin at 1:30.
Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish.

Possum Kingdom East Volunteer Fire Department and EMS will hold the annual boot drive beginning at 8 a.m. Friday and Saturday, May 23-24, at the intersection of Park Road 36 and FM 23534.
This annual fundraiser helps maintain equipment and purchase supplies for the continuing operation of the services.
PK West Sale
The Possum Kingdom West Emergency Services Auxiliary will hold the annual Memorial Day weekend sale 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 23-24, at the fire station, located at the corner of FM 1148 and Green Acres Road.
As always, a large selection of almost anything imaginable will be available, including a 1996 Waverunner with a trailer as well as furnishings, clothes and more.

PK West Breakfast
The Possum Kingdom West Emergency Services will host a pancake breakfast 7-11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, at the PK West Side VFD station, located at the corner of FM 1148 and Green Acres Road.
Pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee will be on the menu. Cost will be $5 for adults, $3 for children.
Proceeds go to support PK West Emergency Services.

End of Season Party
The Graford Ballpark Association’s Little League End of Season Party will be held beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at the City Park in downtown Graford.
The event will feature trophy presentations, hot dogs, hamburgers and two water slides.

The auxiliary is no longer accepting mattresses or box springs. Do not leave donated items outside the fire station or Lions Club.
