The doors open at 9 a.m. Saturday for the Possum Kingdom East Volunteer Fire Department and EMS Auxiliary annual spring sale. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28, at the fire station, 358 N. FM 2353. Kathy Hardin, with the auxiliary, said support for the organization has been overwhelming. "I want to thank everyone so much for their donations to raise money for the new ambulance and support of the volunteer fire department and emergency medical services," she said. Items for this sale include a Ranger bass boat, camper shell and windsurfer. "We have a triple (electric) arcade, a large leather sectional, a small refrigerator suitable for a deck and lots of outdoor furniture," Hardin said. Other items include a bounce house, an electric Sun Setter Awning, lots of toys, a tiller that will need some work, linens, books, sporting goods, glassware, decorations, appliances and much more. All proceeds go to the PK East Volunteer Fire and EMS. Do not leave donated items outside the fire station. The auxiliary is no longer accepting mattresses, box springs or wooden bed frames.
