Carmon McCarrell-Geer, 31, of Graford, escaped serious injury July 17 after her 2002 Volkswagen left Highway 16 and plunged about 300 feet into Rock Creek. Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Gary Rozzell said she was traveling north on Highway 16 between Highway 337 and Rock Creek Loop when her vehicle left the highway on the high side of a left curve. "She over corrected to the left, then over corrected to the right and went down a steep embankment," he said. He said she received minor injuries and was not transported to a hospital.
