A winter weather advisory for freezing drizzle and a wintry mix of sleet, freezing rain and snow covered North and Central Texas this week.
Light ice accumulations from a trace to several hundredths of an inch were forecasted and made travel treacherous at times, especially north of a Goldthwaite to Paris line.
Ice did cover roads and bridges, leading to treacherous driving conditions.
A number of school closed this week because of the conditions, including Gordon, Graford, Palo Pinto and Santo.
Mineral Wells schools opened two hours later and the Palo Pinto County Courthouse delayed opening until 10 a.m.
Wednesday, Graford school delayed opening until 9 a.m.
