Graford started 2014 with a drop in its sales tax rebate for the first two months of the year. With a drop of 7 percent in January, February's check was down over 38 percent. Graford received a check of $7,129, down from last year's rebate of $11, 556. So far this year, Graford is down more than 26 percent at $13,717 compared to $18,643 at the is time last year. Mineral Wells again received a bigger check, $387,850, just over 10 percent more than the $352,230 last year. So far, Mineral Wells has received $668,968, up almost 7 percent from last year's $626,127. Mingus' rebate was down less than half a percent with a check of $1.742, compared to $1,743 last year. Mingus is up a full percent for the first two months of the year, having received $3,192. Strawn again had the largest increase in the county, receiving $13,784, up nearly 56 percent compared to last year's check of $8,851. This year, Strawn has received $24,022, up almost 34 percent from last year's $17,930.
