Shooting for “Bail Out” ends in September

Dennis O’Neill and Pattie Clark discuss points of the proposed V series “Bail Out” at Nancy’s Italian Texan Grill Saturday. O’Neill is the writer, actor and producer of the film while Hart is also a producer.

Filming on a television series project ended in early September after scenes were shot in Mineral Wells, Fort Worth and Cool.
“Bail Out” is the story of a New York City detective, Jimmy O’Neill, who finds solace, excitement and a new career in Fort Worth. He recruits his NYPD partner, Marty, and together they bring their New York ways to the laid back streets of Cow Town.
So why Mineral Wells?

Precinct 5 Justice of the Peace Bobby Hart, left, appears in a scene of "Bail Out" with Pattie Hart, Mike Walters and Dana Brumley.

“Pattie (Hart) lives here,” said Dennis O’Neill, who stars in, directs and produces the proposed program. “We said we needed a courtroom. She got us the courtroom.”
Hart’s father-in-law is Precinct 5 Justice of the Peace Bobby Hart who also appears in the trailer.
“We needed a police station, she got us a police station.”
Scenes were shot in the Mineral Wells police station, Bobby Hart’s courtroom and Holiday Inn Express.
“Everything we needed she got,” continued O’Neill.

And next, she even found a recording artist for the theme song.
“She brought me a CD,” he explained. “She asked me a week later if I’d listened to it, I said no, I hadn’t. A week after that she asked again. I promised I would play it on the way home.”
O’Neill said he listened and told Hart the singer, her cousin Caleb Williams from Santo, had a good voice and sound.
“The next day she brought in a CD and said, ‘Here’s your theme song,’” he continued.
O’Neill said it was absolutely perfect, the exact mix and tone he wanted.
“I couldn’t have written a more perfect song,” he said.
Hart is also listed as a producer and appers in the film.
“The pilot script is done,” O’Neill said. “There are 11 other episodes we’re working on. We’re just waiting for a network to say go.”
