Memorial services for Mrs. Betty Lou (Hair) Dorris Jordan, 73, of Marlow, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at the First Baptist Church in Alma, Okla., with the Rev. Albin Monk Firestone officiating.
She passed from this life Tuesday, Feb. 3, at her home in Marlow, Okla. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home and Crematory of Ringling, Okla.
Betty Lou was born July 3, 1940, in Mingus Texas, to Mr. Thurber Porter Hair and Mrs. Opal Ollie (McFaddon) Hair. She was raised in Orlando, Fla., and graduated from Edgewater High School.
She later moved to Oklahoma and was currently living in Marlow, Okla. Betty Lou worked in home health for several years. She loved being outdoors and tending to her flowers and garden. Betty Lou was an avid sports fan and enjoyed attending baseball and football games. She also loved to shop the flea markets and spend time with her special friend named Kitty Cat.
Betty Lou was preceded in death by her Husband, Dempsey Dorris; parents Thurber and Opal Hair; two brothers, Bobby Hair and Tommy Hair; and sister Syble Camp.
She is survived by her four Children, Joanne (Jordan) McAtee, Bo Jordan, Marie Jordan and David Jordan; three sisters, Katheryn Colvin, Nancy Hitt and Vickie Udell; brother-in-law Charles Camp; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
