The Graford Lady Rabbits claimed victory last Friday over Perrin's Lady Pirates for a district win. Graford won three out of four sets, 19-25, 25-17, 27-25 and 25-18. According to Coach Derek Wuthrich, Graford lacked the net attacks needed to gain momentum within the first match but did succeed in accomplishing several net attacks overall. "Graford's serving was the best it has been all year," he said. "Ashly Rogers did a great job mixing up sets and winning points off dumps. Katie Rochelle had several key attacks at the net. Freshman Esmeralda Balvantin played better than she has all year and had key kills at the end of the second and fourth sets to seal the games." Tuesday, the Lady Rabbits defeated the Woodson Lady Cowgirls in only three sets, 25-16, 25-15 and 25-15.
