Ashly Rogers shoots in the game against Throckmorton Friday as Ashley Hay (3) awaits a possible rebound. The Lady Rabbits head to Eastland for a bi-district game at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Their opponent had not been announced by press time. (Mary Richardson Sun staff)
Tuesday, the Graford Lady Rabbits handed the Woodson Cowgirls a 46-2 loss and will head to a bi-district game at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Eastland. Graford took an early lead in the first quarter, scoring 14 points to Woodson's two. The Lady Rabbits continued to add to the score by adding 14 points in the second quarter, 11 in the third and seven in the fourth. Ashley Hay led Graford with 15 points; Morgan Hendershott added 10; Sydney Wimberly, nine; Izzy Balvantin, five; Ashly Rogers, three; and Rachel Ray and Kydnze Pendergraft each scored two. The Lady Rabbits improved their record to 17-9 on the season and 8-2 in district. Graford will play a warm-up game against Perrin at noon Saturday, Feb. 8.
