The Graford Jackrabbits will play the Ira Bulldogs in a regional tournament at 7 p.m. today, Friday, at Abilene Christian University. To get there, the Jackrabbits handed the Trent Gorillas a 57-29 loss Tuesday night at Clyde High School in the regional quarterfinal game. The Jackrabbits took down Knox City Friday night, 83-54. "Knox City really seemed committed to closing down the lane all night which allowed our guys to get some good looks at the three," noted Coach Ty Tabor. "Defensively, our size and team quickness gave them problems. They were a very well coached and hard-nosed team that did not ever give up." Graford took a 29-13 first quarter lead and never slowed down. Leading scorers for Graford were Lucas Simmons with 18; Dylan Hart, 13; Quinten Tabor, 11; and Tanner Hargrove, 10. "Graford made 11 threes by seven different players," the coach reported.
