The Graford Jackrabbits suffered a 10-6 loss against Gordon in the first regular home game of the baseball season.
In the first inning, Graford took a 1-0 lead, but in the second, Gordon scored four unanswered runs.
It was a quiet third inning with no one scoring, but, in the fourth inning, Gordon scored another three.
In the fifth, Gordon added another run.
Even though Graford scored five in the sixth inning, they fell short, with Gordon adding one more run in the seventh inning.
“The boys are still fresh out of basketball,” said Coach John Newton.
“We just didn’t make the routine plays when we needed to.”
Graford plays at 5 p.m, Tuesday at Baird and at 5 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Lipan.
The next home game will be against Eula at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 25.
