The Graford varsity girls volleyball team competed in the Bryson Invitational Shootout.
“Thursday was pool play and the Lady Rabbits lost to Poolville, defeated Woodson, and lost to Munday,” reported Derek Wuthrich, Graford Lady Rabbits head coach.
“They were seeded in the Silver bracket for Saturday play and the Lady Rabbits came out champions of that bracket.”
Graford defeated the Prairie Valley Lady Bulldogs 25-11, 25-10; the Gustine Lady Tigers 25-13, 24-26, 25-11; and the Newcastle Lady Bobcats in the championship match 18-25, 25-19, 15-6.
They are now 4-3 for the season.
The Lady Rabbits will take on the Lady Tigers at Gustine 5 p.m. Tuesday and will then be competing against the Lady Panthers in the Gorman Tournament Thursday-Saturday, Aug.21-22.
