Jay Z and his sister-in-law are making nice while finally publicly acknowledging they went all Thrilla in Manila in a New York elevator last week.

Well ... she did.

Beyonce, her husband and her sister released a joint statement Thursday afternoon, saying "Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."

So Beyonce finally put her foot down.

According to TMZ, the statement also said, "The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day families have problems and we're no different."

Right. Just the other day my grandma punched me on the escalator at Macy's.

The statement continued, "We love each other and above all we are family. We've put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same."

Not while the video is on YouTube.

The statement doesn't explain what caused the fight, but Jay and Solange say they have worked through it.

I blame the media.
